Swant products originate from the outstanding research of scientists at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Since the 1980s, researchers have been interested in the selective localization of calcium-binding proteins (or related proteins). Over time, a range of antibodies has been developed, such as antibodies against Calbindin D-28k, Calretinin, Parvalbumin, Calmodulin, and against Na2+-Ca2+ exchangers, Ca2+ pumps, and neurotransmitters.

Are you looking for excellent staining of subpopulations of neurons or glial cells in various species, including humans? We can offer you this. For example, Swant products enable selective staining of various types of cancer.

At Swant, you will also find mono- and polyclonal antibodies with a high titer and high specificity. You can use them in immunohistochemistry and immunoblots at a dilution of more than 1:5000 (Avidin-Biotin method).

to know

  • Please visit our webshop. For every product for which a user manual is available, it can be downloaded directly from the relevant product page.

  • You can dissolve the pellet in a corresponding amount of bi-distilled water.

  • The concentration can only be determined for our purified monoclonal antibodies. You can find it on the product information sheet.

  • No, our products are lyophilized antiserum (the polyclonal antibodies) or concentrated supernatant (for the monoclonal antibodies). Refrigeration is not required for transport. For long-term storage, you can store small portions of 1-2 μl at -80 °C (or at least -20 °C).

  • We can provide an estimated concentration for standard staining. However, you should perform a calibration experiment with different concentrations to determine the correct concentration for your setup.
